Lorraine M. Reints, 88, passed away Monday, September 19, 2016 in Rockford, IL. A baby girl was born August 5, 1928 in La Crescent, MN to William and Augusta (Hinrichs) Peters. She spent her childhood riding a used green bike up and down the street; enjoying snowball fights with her friends. During the depression, she quit school at the age of 15, contributing to the family income waiting tables. She met the man of her dreams and married Russell "Pete" Reints, an Illinois farmer, on February 14, 1947, beginning her life time career of being a farm wife, which she loved. She raised four loving children, who gave her 15 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and one great-great grandson. The most important aspects of her life were loving her family, enjoying time with her friends and traveling, especially wintering in Texas.

Lorraine is survived by her children: Jann Glumac, Jill Hall, Michael (Diane) Reints and James (Liz) Reints. She is predeceased by her husband, Pete, on February 13, 1995 and six brothers and sisters.

The funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, September 24, 2016 at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th St., Rochelle with Pastor Les McClelland officiating. The visitation will be from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M., Friday, September 23 at the funeral home. Burial will follow the funeral at Big Mound Cemetery in Davis Junction, Illinois.
