Lorraine Strang, 85 of Lindenwood, IL, passed away on Wed. Jan. 25, 2012 at Serenity Home in
Oregon, IL. She was born on August 26, 1926 in Cherry Valley Township to Frank and Elsie (Friday) Baker. Lorraine married Calvin E. Strang on Nov. 23, 1947 in Lindenwood, IL and he preceded her on April 3, 2007. Also preceding her in death were her parents; brother: Roy Baker and sisters: Marj Reints and Alta Mae Kerr. Memberships include Lindenwood Union Church and Ladies Aid.
Survivors include son: Steve (Sally) Strang of Rochelle; 4 daughters: Sue (Denny) Golden of
Rochelle, Karen (Roger) Pearson of Rochelle, Christy (Al) Hawkins of Byron and Lisa (Charlie) Woodworth of Monroe Center; 14 grandchildren: Jessica Golden, Sarah (Robert) Flanagan, Mary (Bryan) Kunstman, Rachel (Eric) Livingston, Josie, Lucas and Leon Woodworth, Jason (Laura) Hawkins, Joshua Hawkins, Wendy Isham, Jennifier (Melvin) Belter, Sgt .Brandon (Danelle) Strang, Crystal McRoberts and Natalie Strang; 19 great grandchildren; Sisters: Dorothy Kittleson of Rockford, Marie (Wes) Young of Stillman Valley and twin sister: Lorretta Holtman of Rochelle; sisters in law: Margaret Hoffman, Vera McQueen and Iris Sturgill all of Rochelle and Ruth Strang of Washington.
Services will be at Lindenwood Union Church at 11:00 AM, Monday, Jan. 30, 2012 with Rev. Les and Rev. Pat McClelland. Visitation at Unger-Horner Funeral Home on Sunday, Jan. 29th from 2 to5 PM. Burial at Lindenwood Cemetery. Memorials to be established.
