Obituary

Louis C. Ussery 82 of Rochelle, Il passed away at his home on Nov. 27, 2009 with his family by his side. He was born Jan. 5, 1927 Grubbs, Ark. the son of James A. and Mary E. (Townsley) Ussery. He married Wanda F. Linton in Ark. on Nov. 30, 1948. He is preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers and 2 sisters.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Rochelle and served in the Navy during W.W. II He worked at Greenlee Brothers as a machinist for 34 years.

Survived by wife Wanda, 4 daughters: Wanda (Terry) Austin of Rochelle, Beverly (Layne) Holley of Bartonville, IL, Cathy Lowery of Rochelle and Karen (Clem) McCandless of Rochelle. son: Jeffery Ussery of Mexico. Brother: Nolan Ussery of Paragould, Ark., sister: Ivaughn Simpson of Paragould, Ark, and sister-in-law: Betty Ussery of Memphis, TN
18 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday Dec. 1, 2009 at the First Baptist Church, 810 Woolf Court, Rochelle, with Rev. Doug Cowan officiating.
Visitation also on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. to 10:45 prior to the funeral at the church.
Memorials to Ogle County Hospice or First Baptist Church
Burial will be in Trinity Memory Gardens, with a military service provided by the V.F.W. Post 3878.
