Obituary

Lucille M. Cave, 92, formerly of Monroe Center, passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 in Rockford, Illinois with her daughters at her side. She was born February 11, 1921 on a farm near Dana, Illinois to John and Hattie (Meyer) Carls. She graduated from Sycamore High School. Lucille married James B. Cave on June 9, 1939 in Clinton, Iowa. He predeceased her in 2001 after 62 years of marriage. She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Lindenwood, Illinois and a member of the Ladies Aid. Lucille enjoyed cooking and baking and being with her family and friends.

Lucille was also preceded by her parents, six brothers: Simon, Ernest, Edward, Elmer, Herman and Wilbur and her two sisters: Lorraine Storey and Elsie Hewitt.

Lucille is survived by her daughters: Joanne (Lawrence) Baker of Rockford, IL and Janet Arends of Loves Park, IL; three grandchildren: Beth Wait, Jeffrey (Angela) Baker and Jon (Wendy) Arends and six great-grandchildren: Jason and Adam Wait, Alexandria Baker, Jenna, Jakeb and Samantha Arends.

Our heartfelt thanks to Pastor Yarrington for his many visits to Mom and also to Cor Mariae Center and Hospice Care of America (especially Tereasa, Lily and Julie) for all their care and concern.

The funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 22, 2013 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Lindenwood, Illinois. The visitation will be held the same day from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Memorials may be made to the Immanuel Lutheran Church. Interment will be at Trinity Memory Gardens in Rochelle.
