Lucille Elizabeth Kenney, age 95, passed away peacefully Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at Northwoods Care Center in Belvidere. She was born on August 12, 1919 in Rochelle, the daughter of Walter and Ethel Mae Taylor Willcox. Lucille married Captain Paul Anderson Jr. on December 31, 1940 in Iowa, he preceded her on July 13, 1950. She then married John C. Kenney on October 17, 1954 in Rochelle; he preceded her on December 2, 1985. She raised her family and worked at Caron International, DelMonte, and then McDonald's. She is a life member of the First Presbyterian Church in Rochelle. She was an avid Cubs fan and had a great love of animals. Lucille was preceded in death by her husbands; son, Paul Anderson III; brother, Walter Willcox; and sister, Rita Judd.

Survived by her 8 children: David Anderson of St. Paul. MN; Midge (Douglas) Berg of Steward; Walter (Chris) Anderson of Omaha, NE; Thomas Kenney of Davis Junction; John C. "Skip" Jr. (Diane) Kenney of Rochelle; Kathy (Max) Whipple of Lynden, WA; James (Linda) Kenney of Rochelle; and William (Ann) Kenney of Scarboro; sister: June Corcoran of Clearwater, FL; 19 grandchildren: Dawn Lechner, Danielle Stoddard, Paul (Adrienne) Berg, Krista Belt, Drs. Karla (Michael) Scanlon, Jeff Kenney, Kraig (Angela) Kenney, Scott Anderson, Rev. Mark (Kayla) Anderson, David (Lindsay) Anderson, Robert Kenney, Melissa Kenney, Paul Anderson, Max Whipple Jr., Gina Wright, Sherri (Mike) Eckert, T.J. (Betty) Kenney, Austin Kenney and Jaime Kenney; and 21 great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 10:00 A.M., Monday, January 26, 2015 at the First Presbyterian Church, 1100 Calvin Road, Rochelle with Rev. Douglas Forsberg and Rev. Dr. James Tilley officiating. Visitation will also be on Monday from 9 - 9:45 AM prior to the funeral. Burial at Lawnridge Cemetery following the service. The family requests memorials be made to the Church or Granny Rose Animal Shelter in Dixon, IL.
