Luella May Shaw, age 90, passed away Sunday January 6th at Rochelle Gardens.

Luella was born April 8, 1922 in Wayne County, IL; the daughter of Robert and Nova Bozarth Gregory. She married Donald Shaw April 26, 1938 for 72 years. She was a member of Harvest Baptist Church in Hillcrest. She is preceded in death by her husband, three brothers: Noel, Marvin and Eddie, two sisters: Louise Thomas and Issabel Henson.

Luella is survived by sons: Dan (Donna) Shaw of Rochelle and Robert (Elena) Shaw of Hoffman Estates, IL., daughter Patsy Lovelady of Rochelle, four grandchildren: Carolyn (Lenny) Capes, Eddy Lovelady, Danette Clark and Damon (Lisa) Shaw; two step-grandchildren: Joselyn (Brian) Sheidt and Charmaine Asuncion; eight great-grandchildren: Andy (Wendy) Thomas, Gregory Thomas, Eric Lovelady, Kristi and Kaylie Clark and Conner, Braden and Maddie Shaw; two great great-grandchildren: Alanna and Cameron Thomas; three sisters: Doris Henson of Mahomet, IL, Susie Johnson of St. Louis, MO and Lois Dickie of Wayne County, IL.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Rochelle Gardens and Serenity Home and Hospice for their attentiveness and care.

The funeral service will be held at Harvest Baptist Church in Hillcrest, Wednesday, January 9th at 11 a.m. The visitation will precede the funeral at 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. that morning. Burial will be at Trinity Memory Gardens.

Memorials will be to the Rockford Rescue Mission or Harvest Baptist Church.
