Luis F. Porras, age 79, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday, February 25, 2026. He was born on May 9, 1946 in El Paso, Texas, the son of Florencio and Dolores (Alva) Porras. Luis married Nelda C. Presley on August 20, 1986 in Jonesville, VA, she preceded him in death on November 10, 2010. Luis served in the US Navy during Vietnam. He retired from Caron International in Rochelle. He is also preceded in death by his parents: Florencio and Dolores Porras and a brother, Jesus Porras.

Survived by his step children: Jeff Wallace, Marty Wallace and Nancy Kay Tyner; four siblings: Lupe Cortez, Rita Valadez, Fina Rivera and Jose Arriola; six step grandchildren: Tiffany, Steven, Donna, Nick, Alex and Justin; and four step great grandchildren: Larry, Freya, Cameron, and Jordon.

Graveside service will be held on Thursday, March 5, 2025 at 10:00 A.M., at St. Patrick Cemetery in Rochelle with Father Jesus Dominguez officiating. Guest book at www.UngerHorner.com
