Lula "Evelyn" Meacham, age 85, passed away on Monday, November 16, 2020 at the Serenity Home in Oregon, IL. She was born on February 5, 1935 in Wedowee, AL, the daughter of John and Louise (Patterson) Hill. Evelyn married Jerry Meacham on September 14, 1955 in Rome GA, he preceded her on January 16, 2016. She retired in 1998 from Eaton Corporation. Evelyn is also preceded in death by her parents, 4 sisters, 2 infant brothers, and 3 grandchildren: Mackenzie Downing, Tessa Sidebottom, and Charlotte Mae Gocken.

Survived by her 3 daughters: Melissa Prewett, Melinda (Brad) Gocken, and Sheila (Butch) Beck; 7 grandchildren: Emily (Brian) Bailey, Zach (Kara) Prewett, Grace (Marshall Maddox) Prewett, Daniel Gocken, Bailey (Austin) Stollsteimer, Mathew Downing, and Jennifer (Scott Etes) Sidebottom; 17 great grandchildren: Noah, Mary-Therese, Jack, Felicity, Zelie, Flannery, Truman, Delia, Lucas, Nicholas, Mackayla, Evelyn, Ivan, Royce, Ethan, Dylan, Bentley, and expect #18 in December; and 6 brothers and sisters.

The family would like to thank Rochelle Community Hospital and Serenity Home in Oregon for their care.
