Mabel L. Moland 88 of Creston, IL died Thursday Dec. 31, 2009 at Van Matre Health Care in Rockford, IL. She was born Aug. 16, 1921 in Lee, County, IL the daughter of William V. and Jennie Irene (Schmitt) Smith. She married Berdean L. "Pete" Moland in Rochelle, IL on Nov. 5, 1954.
Member of St Paul Lutheran Church in Rochelle.
Preceded by her parents and a sister Norma Cole.
Survived by her husband Pete, 3 sons William (Jane Reglin) Boken of Dixon, IL. Thomas (Margaret) Boken of DeKalb, IL, Donald (Linda) Boken of Leesburg, FL and Daughter Janet L. Marcum of Centralia, MO. Three sisters Dorothy Foss of Machesney Park, IL Catherine McGill of Rochelle and Lois (Ralph "Lefty") Jury of Loves Park, IL 10 Grandchildren and 11 Great-Grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday 10:30 a.m. Jan. 4, 2010 at St Paul Lutheran Church in Rochelle, with Rev. Greg Hoffmann. Visitation will be Sunday from 1:00 to 4:00 P.M. at Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th Street, Rochelle, IL
