Madeleine Juliette Peters, age 91, passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2020 at her granddaughter's home with her family at her side. She was born on February 3, 1929 in Rochelle, IL, the daughter of Robert A. and Marguerite (Boissonnault) Caron. Madeleine married Elmer Lee Peters on February 5, 1948, he preceded her on April 18, 1996. She graduated from Rochelle Township High School, class of 1947. Madeleine was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Ladies Auxiliary V.F.W., Hub City Senior Club, Rochelle Hospital Auxiliary, and the Resurrection Choir at St. Patrick. She enjoyed Euchre, Rummikub and playing with her great grandkids. In addition to her parents and husband, she is predeceased by her sister, Lucette Woodworth.

Survived by her son, Mark Peters of Ashton; daughter, Susan Miller of Rochelle; five grandchildren: Jennifer Hoffman of Mt. Morris, Brooke Knight of Mt. Morris, Dustin Noble of South Beloit, Cody Miller of Wyoming, Nickolas Miller of Prairie Du Sac, WI; brother, Robert (Shirley) Caron of Rochelle; and 12 great grandchildren.

Family only funeral mass will be held at 1:00 P.M., Monday, March 30, 2020 at St. Patrick Catholic Church with Father Ruben Herrera officiating. Burial will be at Trinity Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Arthritis Association or St.Vincent DePaul. The funeral mass will be live streamed on the Unger-Horner Facebook page.
