Manuela Villalpando Nava, 77, passed away Saturday, January 26, 2019, at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center in Rockford. She was born March 26, 1941 in Cuitzeo, Michoacan, Mexico, the daughter of Dionicio Villalpando and Juliana Nava. She married Antonio Rodriguez Fulgencio. He preceded her in death.

Manuela is survived by three sons, Roberto (Diorela) Infante, Ramon Infante, and Manuel Infante; three daughters, Irais (Sotero) Ortiz, Ana (Ruben) Herrera, and Elizabeth (Fernando) Montoya; thirteen grandchildren, Edwin, Kevin, Sally, and Jessee Infante, Gabriela, Itzel, and Jocelyn Ortiz, Alejandra, Ana, and Ruben Jr. Herrera, and Fernando Jr., Sandra, and Giselle Montoya; one great-grandchild, Natalia Castro; and two siblings, Bonifacio Villalpando Nava and Rosa Villalpando Nava.

In addition to her parents and husband, Manuela is preceded in death by a brother, Leon Villalpando Nava.

Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 P.M. Thursday, January 31, 2019, at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th St. in Rochelle.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 A.M. Friday, February 1, 2019, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 236 Kelley Drive, in Rochelle with Father Ruben Herrera officiating. Interment will follow in St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery.
