Marcia L. O'Brien, 62, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, July 1, 2015 in Rochelle. Marcia was born on August 30, 1952 in Rochelle to Glen E. and Ardis (Stageman) Davidson. She graduated from Rochelle Township High School in 1970. Marcia married Patrick G. O'Brien on November 10, 1979 in Rockton, IL. She worked in real estate for Pro-Realty for 10 years, and then for Cedar Siding and Lumber as an accountant for nearly 15 years. She is preceded in death by her parents.
Marcia is survived by her husband, Pat; two sons: Daniel "DJ" (Michelle) O'Brien of Elgin, IL and Steven (Amanda) O'Brien of Ashton, IL; two sisters: Nona (Carl) Ogren of Murray, KY and Lori (John) Bidstrup of Cortland, IL; and two grandchildren: Logan and Leah O'Brien.
Marcia was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, grandma and friend, and will be missed by all. Since retiring in 2012, Marcia was able to live her and Pat's lifelong dreams and travel the country. She also enjoyed playing/watching golf, and spending time with family and friends. She most recently was able to spend time at her favorite vacation spot fishing with her family.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3:00 P.M., Sunday, July 12, 2015 at the Rochelle VFW, 318 4th Avenue, with Pastor David Rogula officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 3:00 just prior to the service.
Memorial for donations is to be established.
