Margaret I. Hoffman, age 93, passed away on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at the KSB Hospital in Dixon. She was born on May 15, 1927 in Lindenwood, IL the daughter of John F. and Mabel (Reints) Strang. She married Melvin Hoffman on August 19, 1961 in Lindenwood, IL, he preceded her in death on September 21, 2010. Margaret was a rural U.S. Postal Mail Carrier serving Lindenwood and Esmond for over 20 years. Preceded in death by 2 infant daughters: Cheri Dawn Baker and Cynthia Anne Hoffman; 10 sisters: Stella Baker, Cora Beck, Edna Beach, Fern Rittmeyer, Edith Hill, Marie Dunahoo, Ruth Harrolle, Grace Huntley, Vera McQueen, and Iris Sturgill; 4 brothers: Clarence, Willard, Francis and Calvin Strang.

Survived by her 5 children: John (Susan) Baker of Petersham, MA, Barbara (Roger) Falk of Spirit Lake, IA, Gary (Sara) Baker of Pekin, IL, Curt (Heather) Baker of New Port Richey, FL, and David Hoffman of Mt. Morris, IL; 13 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Private Immediate family funeral will be held at the Immanuel Lutheran Church with Rev. Dr. Matthew Rosebrock officiating on Tuesday. Service will be live streamed on the Unger Horner Face book page on Tuesday at 10:00am. There will be a walk thru viewing opportunity of Margaret on Monday from 4 - 6:30 p.m. at the Unger Horner Funeral Home with no family present.
