MARGARET AMELIA PAYNE, age 89 of Rochelle passed away Saturday, September 22, 2012 at Rochelle Gardens Care Center. She was born Nov. 29, 1922 in Rochelle, IL the daughter of Albert and Sarah (Cortright) Farnham. Margaret graduated from RTHS in 1940. On June 21, 1962 she married John Madison Payne in Sterling, IL and he preceded her in death on April 22, 2006. Margaret was an Administrative Assistant to O.J. Caron at Caron International for 25 years.
Margaret is survived by 1 son: John (Michele) Payne of Fitchburg, WI; 1 brother: Ralph Farham of Rockford, IL and 2 grandchildren: Ashley and Mathew Payne.Margaret lived in Rochelle her entire life, and will be remembered as a devoted wife and mother. Her interests earlier in her life consisted of bowling and golf, in addition to being a very active member within her church community.

Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Thursday, Sep. 27, 2012 at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home in Rochelle with Pastor Gregory Hoffmann. Visitation will be Wed. Sep. 26, from 5-8 PM at Unger-Horner. Memorial may be made to the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Rochelle. Burial at Lawnridge Cemetery.
