Obituary

Margie Lee (Turner) Reints, age 86, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, as well
as her beloved husband Jim on July 5, 2025 surrounded by family. Margie was born in
Parkin, AR on April 4, 1939, the third of four children, one preceded her in death. She
was the daughter of Odis and Mabel Turner and raised by her beloved aunt and uncle,
Mayron and Carlos Jones who she devotedly called mama and daddy. Mayron and
Carlos instilled in her the beautiful qualities that made her who she was; a love for the
Lord, family and all mankind. Margie relocated to Rochelle, IL at the age of 18 where
she married the love of her life James Reints, to whom she was married for 66 amazing
years. Together they had three children Jim, Jeana and Randy. They settled and raised
their children in Rochelle, IL.

Margie went to work at the can plant in Rochelle until the children were born, then
became a stay-at-home mother/wife. Over the years she worked part time at several
places including Guest legal services and Colonial Flowers. Margie loved flowers and
gardening, you would always find her taking care of her flowers and piddling in the yard.
Margie was well known for her hospitality and loving on people. The kids would
frequently bring home a multitude of friends for whom she would always cook and, at
times, do their laundry. She never turned anyone away. She was the sweetest, kindest
woman you could ever meet, and she loved our God with ALL her heart and soul.

Margie and Jim started a new adventure after James retired. The Lord set them on a
path to what she loved, serving the Lord. They bought a RV and started mission work
with the Assembly of God RV MAPS group, (Mission American Placement Service).
Every winter they would load the RV up with tools and material and head for generally
"a warmer" climate. Thru MAPS they would go to work to build and/or remodel
churches, parsonages, and Christian organizations such as Teen Challenge. MAPS
took them to Florida, Arizona, Texas, Georgia, Alaska and even to Hawaii twice,
unfortunately for Hawaii they had to leave the RV behind. They continued their mission
work until the age of 78.

Margie leaves behind son Jim (Kathy) Reints, daughter Jeana (Xavier) Valdivieso, and
son Randy (Karen) Reints. Grandchildren, Josh Valdivieso, Ben Valdivieso, (Megan),
Gabe Valdivieso, (Larissa), Eli Valdivieso, (Alison), Tyler Reints, (Madison), Justin
Reints and Shelby Pinedo, (Ulysses). Eight great-grandchildren, sisters Hilda Kohn,
Joan Roberson and plenty of nieces and nephews.
A huge thank you to Hawthorne Inn and the entire team at Serenity Hospice Home. You
are all angels in our eyes and in our hearts. The way you loved on her was spectacular.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Serenity Hospice and Home.
Please join us in celebrating Margie's reunion with Jim and her Savior. She is whole
again.
