Maria Marcelina Garcia, 89, passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2020 at the Rochelle Community Hospital in Rochelle, Illinois. Maria was born on July 19, 1930 to Leobardo and Socorro (Nambo) Fulgencio in Mexico. She married Ezequiel Garcia. He preceded her in death on July 6, 1998. She was also predeceased by her brother, Marcos Hueramo Fulgencio; sister, Feliz Hueramo Fulgencio and granddaughter, Blanca Milan.

Maria was a loving grandmother and great grandmother. With a big devotion in God, she always enjoyed praying for every single one of her kids and grandkids. Her nightly prayers always took one hour or more because she wanted to make sure she did not miss anyone. She enjoyed paletas de hielo and Sabritones. Whenever someone would bring some, it would make her day! We will miss her stories of way back in the day. She also enjoyed all of her great grandkids. Even though she could not see them, she always enjoyed holding them and singing to them.

Maria is survived by her nine children, 34 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren: son, Eleazar (Luisa) Garcia; grandkids: Tammy (Roberto) Castro, Angela Garcia, Daniel Roman, Hector Garcia, and Emmanuel Garcia; great grandkids: Mario, Mercedes and Marco Castro, Caleb Paxton and Urijah Robbins, Mia Johnson, Emmy Garcia, great-great grandchild: Natalia Castro; son, Ruben (Patricia) Garcia; grandkids: Zeke Garcia, Marcy Garcia, and Veronica (Deontae) Carter; great grandkids: Adonis Garcia, Jezylina Nicolosi, Aaliyanah and Cataleya Carter; son, Ydelfonso (Marisela) Garcia;
grandkids: Monica dela Torre, Miguel Garcia, Fernando Garcia, Bianca Garcia, and Cristian Garcia; great grandchild: Odalis Garcia; son, Javier (Ventura) Garcia; grandkids: Daniel Garcia and Pedro Garcia; great grandkids: Issac, Yessy and Becca Garcia; son, Hector (Elvia) Garcia;

great grandkids: Elizabeth and Margaret Garcia; son, Miguel (Cecilia) Garcia; grandkids: Pilar (Sergio) Suarez, Lizbeth Garcia, Susana (Juan) Belmonte, Miguel A Garcia, Jimena (Junior) Roman, Victor Garcia; great grandkids: Laly and Gio Suarez, Liby and Leo Belmonte; brother, Refugio Hueramo Fulgencio and sister, Alvina Nava Hueramo.

There will be a private family mass at 10:00 A.M., Monday, March 30, 2020 at St. Patrick Catholic Church with Father Ruben Herrera. The burial will follow at St. Patrick Cemetery in Rochelle.
