Maria Ramirez, age 84, passed away on Sunday, August 23, 2026 at her son's home in Highland, IN with her family at her side. She was born on November 15, 1941 in Eagle Pass, TX, the daughter of Adolfo and Soledad (Motelongo) Rangel.

Maria loved spending time with her children, and especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her 3 children: Juan (Mary) Ramirez of AZ, Mario Ramirez of Rochelle, and Victor (Jeanette) Ramirez of Highland, IN; 13 beloved grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Juan Ramirez, her parents and her sister, Guadalupe Rangel.

Funeral mass will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, August 29, 2026 at the St. Patrick Catholic Church in Rochelle with Father Jesus Dominguez officiating.
