Marilyn M. Herwig, 84 of Ashton, passed away on Friday, Jan. 28, 2011 at Franklin Grove
Nursing Center. She was born on July 25, 1926 in Ashton, IL to Justus and Emma (Kersten)
Henert. On Nov. 16, 1946, Marilyn married Kenneth E. Herwig in Ashton, IL and he preceded her on June 14, 2010. She was also preceded by 2 brothers: Roland and Donald Henert and 2 sisters: Luella Griffin and Leona Chapman. Memberships include Ashton United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her daughter: Teresa (Richard) Ludka of Preston, PA; son: Steven E. Herwig
of Hobbs, NM; 3 grandchildren: Dr. Tara (Dr. Celso) Acevedo, Andrea (Brian) Amick and Bailey Herwig; great grandchildren: Eva and Celso Acevedo.
Services will be held at the Ashton United Methodist Church in Ashton, IL, on Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2011 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Tom Renardo. Visitation will be from 9 to 10 A.M. prior to the
service at the church. Memorials to Alzheimer Disease Research Center. Burial at Ashton Cemetery. Arrangements by Unger-Horner Funeral Home in Rochelle
