Obituary

Marilyn J. Springman, age 74 of Rochelle, passed away on Monday, Jan. 7, 2008 at Pine Acres Rehab and Living Center in DeKalb, IL. She was born on March 27, 1933 at their family farm near Rochelle, the daughter of John and Hazel (Rainwater) Behrends. Marilyn was a Homemaker, and a bus driver for the Rochelle Elementary School Dist. She loved all sporting events, and was a avid Bears, Bulls, and Duke basketball Fan. Marilyn was a Baptized and Confirmed Lutheran.
Marilyn had a tremendously powerful spirit. She was strong in mind, and gentle in heart. She was preceeded in death by; a brother: Charles E. Behrends, and father of their children Jim Springman.

Survivors include a daughter: Kim (Ed) King of Steward, IL; 2 sons: Joel (Cathy) Springman of Orlando, FL and Lonnie (Mary Kay) Springman of Highland Park, IL; 7 grandchildren: Hayley, Jenna, Margaret, Riley, Cody, Bryan, and Danny; Sisters: Evelyn Hintzsche, and Margery Behrends; Sister-in-law: Joy Phillips; Special Friend; Diana Klein, and Many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Fri. Jan. 11, 2008 7:00 P.M. at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home in Rochelle.

Visitation will be from 5:00 - 7:00 P.M. Fri. before service time.
Cremation rites provided by Unger-Horner Funeral Home
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established to the David Crawford Foundation.
