Marilyn Lynch Wilson, 89, of Rochelle, IL; passed away on Wed., Oct. 3, 2012 in her home surrounded by her family. She was born on Aug. 9, 1923 in Oak Park, IL to Benjamin L. and Frances M. (Carlton) Lynch. Marilyn was a 1945, graduate of Cornelle College in Mt. Vernon, IA. On Sept. 15, 1945, she married Jerry S. Wilson in Oak Park, IL and he preceded her in death on Aug. 28, 2006.
She was also preceded by a daughter-in-law: Carol (Michael) on March 1, 2012. Marilyn was a member
of First Presbyterian Church, and was active in Cub Scouts, Ogle County Cancer Society, and was a Blue Bird and Campfire Leader.
Survivors include: sons: Michael Wilson of Terrace, British Columbia, Thomas (Mary) Wilson of Sioux City, IA, Scott (Cheryl) Wilson of Rochelle, IL and Jack (Mary) Wilson of Portland, OR; daughters: Patricia (Lee) Stocking of Mendota, IL, Susan Wilson of Rochelle and
Jann (Dan Robinson) Wilson of Chicago, IL; 10 grandchildren: Brett (Laura) Wilson, Marney (Eric) Paul, Nick Leonard, Lindsay (John) DeLuca, Ashley, Alexandra, Skyler, Kelly, Mattie and Baylor Wilson. Great Grandchildren: Mya and Mallory Paul, Jayden Finney and Baby DeLuca on the way.
A Remembrance Service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church in Rochelle on Saturday,
November 10, 2012 at 11:00 AM. Visitation is Friday, Nov. 9th at Unger-Horner Funeral Home
in Rochelle from 5 to 8 PM. Memorials to First Presbyterian Church, Serenity Home and Hospice or RTHS Education Foundation. Cremation rites arranged by Unger-Horner. Inurnment will be at Lawnridge Cemetery.
