Marion Lenora Heltness, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 11, 2015. Marion was born July 12, 1918 in Rochelle, the daughter of Howard and Alice (Hansen) Heltness. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Rochelle and also a member of the Rochelle Country Club where she enjoyed golfing. She worked in the office of Caron International for 45 years, retiring as a supervisor in December of 1985. She is preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Aleen Higbie.
Marion is survived by her cousins: Carol Brown of Maple Grove, MN, Debby Poorbaugh of Elkhart, IN, Dorothy Heltness of Rochelle, Tim Brown of Milwaukee,WI, Karen and Glen Vanic of Eden Prairie, MN, Ian Vanic of New Ulm, MN, and Laura Vanic of Columbus, OH.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at 10:00 am at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th St., Rochelle with Rev. Dr. James A. Tilley officiating. Burial of her cremated body will be at Trinity Memory Gardens in Rochelle. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church or the American Cancer Society.
