Marjorie Ann
Hayes
February 13, 1938 – May 3, 2026
Marjorie Ann Hayes, 88, passed away peacefully Sunday, May 3, 2026 at Manor Court of Rochelle, Illinois. Marjorie was born on February 13, 1938 to Albert A. and Anise E. (Curtis) Bosecker in Rockford, IL. On June 21, 1958, she married Jerry Keith Hayes in Kings, IL. He preceded her in death on December 1, 2017.
She was a devoted member of First Presbyterian Church in Rochelle, Illinois for 63 years where she faithfully served on various committees over the years. Throughout her life, she held a variety of jobs, including working at Hornsby’s, First National Bank, and Del Monte Sundry Store. She also took great pride in raising Norwegian Elkhounds and Samoyeds during the 1980’s.
Above all, her greatest joy was being a loving mother and homemaker, caring for her family's needs with dedication—cooking, cleaning, and assisting Jerry with farm responsibilities.
She found happiness in the simple pleasures of summer, tending to her flowers, gardening, and canning.
Wherever she went—whether to her children’s sporting events or family gatherings—she always had her camera in hand, capturing memories that will be cherished for generations.
Her faith, love for family, and treasured friendships were the foundation of her life. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will never be forgotten.
