Rochelle

Marlowe "Marty" E. Seyller, Jr., age 84, passed away on Monday, November 6, 2023 at his home with his family at his side.  He was born on September 22, 1939 in DeKalb, IL, the son of Marlowe and Maren (Schouw) Seyller.  Marty married Janine P. White on May 27, 1961 in Boulder Hill, IL.

Marty was an extremely skilled craftsman, and furniture maker.  He was a life member of the Moose, and was active in the Danish Brotherhood in America, serving as a local and district president and on several committees.  Marty loved spending time with his family and was an avid horseman.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a childhood sister, Sharon.

Marty is survived by his wife, Janine; daughter, Pamela Seyller and granddaughter, Jaclyn Seyller all of Compton; four brothers: David (Bonnie) Seyller of Crystal Lake, IL, Dennis (Susi) Seyller of Virginia, Stephan (Deborah) Seyller of Massachusetts, and Dale (Carla) Seyller of Oswego, IL; many nieces and nephews and special family friends, Kevin (Marisol) Luxton of Rochelle.

Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11:00 A.M., Friday, November 10, 2023 at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N 6th St., Rochelle, with a Moose Service and funeral to begin at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Michael Wolff officiating.
