Marjorie "Marnie" L. Moorehead, 96, passed away peacefully, Monday, January 21, 2019 at her home three days before their 79th wedding anniversary. Marnie was born on January 5, 1923 in Earlville, Illinois to Clyde and Manona (Gregg) White. She married James T. Moorehead on January 24, 1940 in Clinton, Iowa. Marnie retired after 30 years of working for GE as a machine operator.

Marnie is survived by her husband of almost 79 years, Jim Moorehead of Rochelle, two children: Butch (Cindy) Moorehead of Rockfalls, IL and Cherrie Schultz of St. Louis, MO; eight grandchildren: Kris (Allan) Killian, Korin (Karl) Dankl, James Moorehead, Timothy (Wendy) Moorehead, Lory Moore, Lonna (Dave) Lira, Kellie (Denny) Schroeder and Troy Slusser; 24 great grandchildren; and 5 great great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, May 23, 2019 at the Rochelle United Methodist Church, 709 4th Ave., Rochelle with Pastor Rob Hamilton officiating. The visitation will be prior to the service from 9:30 - 10:45 A.M. Cremation care has been accorded. Memorials may be made in Marnie's memory to Rochelle United Methodist Church.
