Martha R. Olson, age 90 of Rochelle, passed away on Friday, Sept. 14, 2007 at Wisconsin
Rapids Care Center. She was born Nov. 20, 1916 in Lucas, IA, the daughter of Charles B.
and Lora (Baker) Rogers. She married Charles K. Olson on June 21, 1941 in Lucas, IA and he preceded her on Nov. 28,1990. Martha was also preceded by 2 half brothers: Harold "Bert" Rogers and Rodney Scott Rogers and a half sister: Helen Wennerstrum. She graduated from
Northwestern University in Evanston, IL in 1938 and was a former elementary school teacher
in Rochelle.

Martha was a member of the First Presbyterian Church; life member of the Flagg Township
Historical Society; member of Salome Chapter of the Eastern Star; member and former regent for the D.A.R.

She is survived by 3 daughters: Nancy (Kenneth) Detig of Rochelle, Susan Hibbs
of Marshalltown, IA and Priscilla (Scott) Kellogg of Wisconsin Rapids, WI. 6 Grandchildren Steve (Amy) Detig, Jeff (Alicia) Detig, Matt (Lisa) Detig, Emily Foley, Lindsey Moffat and Betsy Moffat. 7 Great Grandchildren Sarah, Ryan, Cameron, Lauren, Eric, Addison and Melah.

Services will be at the First Presbyterian Church in Rochelle, on Thursday, Sept. 20, 2007 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Dr. John Hamilton and Rev. Dr. James Tilley. The visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service at 10:00 AM at the church. Entombment will be at Lawnridge Mausoleum. Memorials can be made to First Presbyterian Church or Diabetes Foundation.
