Marvin "Moe" H. Alderks, age 77, passed away at his home on Saturday, July 2, 2016 with his family at his side. He was born on April 28, 1939 in Kings, IL, the son of Fred and Helen (Joesten) Alderks. Moe owned and operated Marvin Alderks Tire Service for 56 years. He married Ruth McQueen on September 24, 1960. On August 17, 1973, he then married Pati Moore, she preceded him in death on January 28, 2001. Moe married Marilyn Mershon Myers on June 25, 2005. Member of the Rochelle Mason Lodge 244, Shriner's Club, Hub City Cruisers, Chamber of Commerce, FFA and volunteered at the Rochelle Fire Department. He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Johanna Alderks Funk.

Survived by his wife, Marilyn Alderks of Rochelle, 5 children: Phil (Gwen) Alderks of Kenosha, WI, Tami (Ron) Hensley of Roscoe, Kris Pierce (Bruce Miller) of Rochelle, Bonnie (John) Kastner of Norfolk, VA, and Ryan (Rob) Alderks of Milton, WI, 14 grandchildren: Kate, Zac(Beth), Noah, Alexandra (Ashton), Rebekah, Josiah, Madeleine, and Abigail Alderks, Nolan and Jack Hensley, Christopher (Rachael) and Brittany Pierce (Reed Anderson), and Paul and Rachel Kastner; 3 great grandchildren: Faith, Hannah and Rianna Alderks; 3 step children: Jeff (Gail) Myers, Collene (Joe) Jennings, and Carla (Scott) Lloyd; 7 step grandchildren: Jason (Beth) Detter, Cory (Nicole) Myers, Jesse (Skylar) Myers, Kelsey (Terry) Plemmons, Conor Smith, Joshua Lloyd, and Lindsey Lloyd; 6 step great-grandchildren: Logan and Emma Detter, Cael Plemmons, Libby, Kayden and Khole Myers.

Funeral will be at 10:30 AM on Thursday, July 7, 2016 at the Rochelle United Methodist Church with pastor Rob Hamilton officiating. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 5 - 8 pm with a Masonic Service at 8 PM at the Unger Horner Funeral Home, 400 N 6th St., Rochelle. Cremation rites will follow services with burial of his cremated body at White Rock Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Serenity Hospice and Home, or the Horicon Lodge #244.
