Mary Ann Davis, 78, passed away Monday, January 20, 2014 at Serenity Hospice and Home in Oregon, IL. She was born May 24, 1935 to Etsel and Sophie (Knicely) Carter in Rochelle. Mary Ann married George "Jim" Davis on August 24 1957 in Rochelle. He preceded her in death on October 11, 1998. She was also predeceased by her parents, brother, Laverne "Bud" Carter and three sisters: Juanita Brimhall, Rose Fisher and Lorraine Sherwood.

Mary Ann is survived by her three sons: Michael (Melinda) Davis, Tim (Pam) Davis and Jeff (Tina) Davis all of Rochelle; her daughter, Lori (Ronald) Castenson of Rochelle; two brothers: Bill Carter of Indiana and Richard Carter of Illinois; three sisters: Shirley Williams, Sherry (Robert) Thompson and Arlene (Glenn) Davis all of Rochelle; eight grandchildren: Samantha, Amanda, Katie, Kelli, Mindy, Erica, Jacob and Taylor and four great-grandchildren: Madi, Andre, Olivia and Wyatt.

A graveside service was held with Pastor Cindy Marino officiating. Burial was at the Lawnridge Cemetery in Rochelle. Memorials may be made in Mary Ann's name to Serenity Hospice and Home.
