Obituary

Mary K. Fenwick, age 92 of Rochelle, passed away on Monday, Oct. 22, 2007 with her family by
her side at Rochelle Rehabilitation & Health Care Center. She was born on Dec. 25, 1914 in
Maytown, IL, the daughter of John Francis and Kathryn (Duffy) Friel. Mary K. married
Joseph Lullus Fenwick on May 29, 1941 and he preceded her on Nov. 8, 1973. She was also
preceded by her parents and 2 sisters: Jeanne Stenzel and an infant sister.

She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and the Women's Guild and also Rochelle Senior Center. Previously she had been employed by Aigner's and Rochelle Community Hospital.
Her love of faith, family, laughter, farming, hard work, education, politics, the Cubs and the Hubs were life interests she shared and passed on to her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include 6 sons: Jack Fenwick of Amboy, Ed Fenwick of Rochelle, Jim (Pam) Fenwick of Roscoe, Tom (Jan) Fenwick, Everett "Buck"(Jan) Fenwick, and Steve (Dawn) Fenwick all of Broadhead, WI; 4 daughters: Karen (Spencer) Hayden, Kathy (Dan) Harper and Therese Fenwick all of Rochelle and Joyce (Larry) Groenhagen of Oregon, IL; 2 sisters: Eleanor McLaughlin of Amboy, IL and Anna (Elmer) Randall of Detroit, MI; 26 Grandchildren: Kristi (Chris) Ryan and John, Patrick (Bettina), and Katie Fenwick; Derek (Tracy) and Natalie Fenwick, and Tressa (Andy) Atkinson; Chris, Amy and Tim Hayden; Josh, Scott, Mike, Joe (Lindsay) Fenwick; Carrie (Al) Boyce and Brian, Sarah and Jason Harper; Claire and Adrienne Baker; Adam and Chad Groenhagen; Ben, Laney and Tyler Fenwick; and Briana Fenwick; 15 Great Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral mass will be held at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Rochelle, with Rev. David Peck, on
Friday, Oct. 26, 2007 at 10:00 AM. Visitation will be at Unger-Horner Funeral Home on Thursday, Oct. 25th from 4 to 8:00 PM. Burial will be at St. Patrick Cemetery in Maytown, IL at 2:00 PM on Friday, Oct. 26th. Memorials can be made to Ogle County Hospice or to Hub City Senior Center.
