Mary Alice Hammel 93 of Rochelle, IL and formerly of Joliet, IL died Thursday Oct. 18, 2012 in Rochelle Rehab and Health Care Center. She was born January 22, 1919 in Joliet, IL the daughter of Matthew and Alice (Doyle) McLaughlin. She married F. Paul Hammel Sept. 24, 1941. She worked as an office manager for Joliet Republican Printing Company for 15 years and was an avid seamstress. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother M. Robert and sister-in-law Eleanor McLaughlin, and husband F. Paul on (Feb. 22, 2008).
She is survived by son Tom Hammel of Rochelle and daughter Sally (Dennis Gaylord) Albright of Oregon, IL.
