Mary A. Singer, 81, passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2016 in DeKalb, IL. Mary was born November 12, 1935 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Leo and Harriett (Ziermaek) Zelewski. She married LeRoy J. Singer on May 21, 1955 in Milwaukee. Mary was preceded in death by her husband on February 19, 2000, her parents and her sister, Carol Senecal.

Mary was a member of St. Hedwig of Milwaukee and a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church of Rochelle. She was educated at Messmer High School in Milwaukee. Mary worked at Moore's True Value and Spurgeons in Rochelle. She also volunteered for 11 years for St. Patrick's Senior luncheons. Mary was also a longtime care giver for members of the Rochelle community.

Mary is survived by her two children: Paul (Crystal) Singer of Whitewater, WI and Karin Hardin of Hampshire, IL; a brother, Leon (Joan) Zelewski of Milwaukee; sister, Susan (Richard) Miszewski of Hancock, WI; three grandsons: Christopher (Sheila) Singer of Coon Rapids, MN, Mikeal (Jen) Hardin of Phoenix, AZ and Derek (Melissa) Cornett of Iowa City, IA and a great granddaughter, Mackenzie Singer.

The funeral service will be held at 10:30 A.M., Friday, December 30, 2016 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 236 Kelley Drive, Rochelle. Burial will follow the service at St. Patrick Cemetery.
