Rochelle

Mary Rose Wagner, 80, passed away Monday, January 26, 2015 in Rockford, Illinois. Mary Rose was born April 30, 1934 in Hardin, Illinois to Frank Elmer and Mary Susan (Moore) Cook. She married Marvin Eugene Wagner on August 13, 1955 in Sterling, Illinois. Mary Rose was active with Avon for 40 years and worked at Spurgeon's Department Store in Rochelle for five years. Sewing, cooking, camping and dancing were a few of her favorite activities. Mary Rose devoted her life to her family and the Lord. She was preceded in death by her three brothers: T Sgt Robert Cook, Leonard Cook and Lloyd Cook.

Mary Rose is survived by her husband, Marvin, five daughters: Marla (Rick) Bearrows, Marsha (Eldon) Miller and Michele (Paul) Hardcastle all of Rochelle, Marilyn (Chris) Collier of Jackson, MO and Malinda Wagner also of Rochelle; sister-in-law, Lulu Belle Cook of Sterling, IL; seven grandchildren: Eric Bearrows, Wendy (Andy) Thomas, Stephanie (Steve) Messer, Ashley Miller, Zoe Hardcastle, Valerie Collier and Christopher Collier and five great grandchildren.

The funeral service will be 10:00 A.M., Saturday, January 31, 2015 at Crossroads Community Church, 3301 N. Rt. 251, Rochelle, with Pastor Lowell Woolbright officiating. The visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M., Friday, January 30 at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th St., Rochelle and a second one on Saturday from 9:00 to 9:45 prior to the funeral service. Burial will be at Oak Knoll Cemetery in Sterling, IL. A memorial has been established.
