Mary Jane (Snyder) Wolf, 85 passed away Thursday, July 31, 2014. Mary Jane was born February 16, 1929 in Byron, Illinois, the daughter of Charles and Rosetta (Eakle) Snyder. She married Richard Wolf on April 16, 1950. She was an active member of the Malta Congregational Church and served on numerous committees. Mary Jane was a homemaker, who worked very hard in so many aspects. She tended a large garden each summer which she then used to create wonderful meals. She loved to read, do needle point and sewing. Music was very important in her life. She loved to keep in touch with family and friends with cards and letters. There was never a birthday or anniversary that was not acknowledged. She will be greatly missed by all that had the pleasure to know her, her friends and all the generations of her family.

Mary Jane is survived by four sons: Daniel Wolf of Steward, IL, Jospeh (Susan) Wolf of Kings, IL, Timothy (Laurie Lahti) Wolf of St. Joseph, MI and Andrew (Kara) Wolf of Pompano Beach , FL; one daughter, Rebecca (Thomas) May of Waterman, IL, 7 grandchildren: Danielle, Gabrielle, Daniel, Heather, Kellsa, Nicholas and Michael; three great-grandchildren: Ava, Bryson and Lana; three brothers: Charles (Joan) Snyder of Leaf River, IL, Kenneth (Connie) Snyder of Stillman Valley, IL and David (Chris) Snyder of Leaf River, IL and two sisters: Joyce Carr of Mt. Morris, IL and Carol Wyllie of Byron, IL. She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard in 1983, parents, brother, Robert Snyder, sister, Pat Hoting and great-granddaughter, Ellie.

The visitation will be 9:00 to 10:45, Monday, August 4, 2014 at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th St., Rochelle. The funeral service will follow the visitation at 11:00 with Pastor Bob Vaughn officiating. Burial is at the Malta Cemetery. The memorial has been established.
