MaryLou Reeser, 76, passed away Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at Serenity Hospice and Home in Oregon, Illinois. MaryLou was born on October 22, 1943 to Raymond and Anna Mae (Stephenitch) Gehant in Mendota, IL. She married Gerald Reeser on May 18, 1963 in West Brooklyn, IL. She worked for over 30 years at the Rochelle Newsleader.

MaryLou loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed their pool and vacationing with Jerry for several years at Marco Island. She was a Longaberger basket collector and had one for every occasion.

In addition to her parents, MaryLou is preceded in death by her brothers: Raymond and Don (Tonna) Gehant and sister, Janet Hornung.

MaryLou is survived by her husband of 57 years, Jerry of Rochelle; two children: Mark (Denise) Reeser or Rockford, IL and Margaret (David) Lundquist of Loves Park, IL; six siblings: Karen (Melvin) Bonnell, Susan (Larry) Eddy, Pat (Terry) Moyer all of West Brooklyn, Kathy (Tim) Burkardt of Amboy, IL, Sherrie (John) Jacobs of Dixon, IL and Mike (Colleen) Gehant of Mendota; sister-in-law, Barb Gehant of Mendota and four grandchildren: Hayley and Nolen Reeser and Cameron and Mary-Margaret Lundquist.

The visitation will be from 9:00 - 10:15 A.M., Saturday, February 8, 2020 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 236 Kelley Drive, Rochelle. The funeral service will follow at 10:30 A.M. with Father Ruben Herrera officiating. Burial will be at St. Patrick Cemetery in Rochelle.
