Michael T. Morrison, age 54, of Rochelle died on January 2, 2007 at his home with his family by his side. He was born on June 17, 1952 in Rochelle, the son of Thomas Alexander and Gertrude May (Hendricks) Morrison. He married Jacquelyn Phillips on Sept. 26, 1974 in Dover, DE. He served in the US Air Force from 1970 to 1974.

Michael was employed by Del Monte Corp. in Rochelle. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Rochelle and was preceded in death by his parents, and grandparents: Donald and Mary Morrison and Henry and Laura Hendricks, and father and mother in law: Raymond and Virginia Phillips.

Survivors include his wife Jacque of Rochelle; a daughter: Becky (Darrell Merriman) Morrison and granddaughter: Desiree Morrison both of Rochelle; a sister: Maribeth (Bill) Nelson of Rochelle and 2 brothers: Stacy (Debe) Morrison of Rochelle and James L. Morrison of Rockford.

Services will be held at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Rochelle, on Saturday, January 6, 2007 at 11:00 AM, with Rev. Mark Nordman officiating. Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 AM prior to the funeral service at St. Paul Lutheran Church on Saturday. Military Services will be provided by VFW Post 3878. Memorials can be made to Ogle County Hospice. Unger-Horner Funeral Home is assisting the family with cremation rites to follow services.
