Michael F. Rossi, 80 of Rochelle; passed away on Sunday, Jan. 15, 2012 at Rochelle Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Rochelle. He was born on July 7, 1931 in Oglesby, IL to Santos and Pasqua (Imperti) Rossi. He was a member of the Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Union.
Mike was a Sgt. in the US Army during the Korean War. Has preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers: Mario and Battista Rossi. On Sept. 20, 1952, he married Barbara Ann Parker in Ogelsby, IL.

Survivors include his wife: Barbara of Rochelle; son: Mark Rossi of Sioux City, IA; brother: Frank (Delores) Rossi of Ogelsby and Sister: Theresa Kozel of Ogelsby and 4 grandchildren:
Anthony, Amanda, Michael, and Marisa Rossi.

Services will be Thursday, Jan. 19, 2012 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Rochelle, at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be Wed. Jan. 18th from 4 to 8 PM with a Rosary Service from 6 to 6:30 PM. at Unger-Horner Funeral Home. Military burial rites by Eastern Lee-Ogle Honor Guard at St. Patrick Cemetery. Memorials to St. Patrick Catholic Church.
