Michael Joseph Wilson, age 77, passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at the Rochelle Community Hospital.  He was born on October 11, 1947 in Oconto Falls, WI, the son of Warren and Bernadine (Oryall) Wilson.  Michael married Carol Leiskau on September 28, 1972, she preceded him in death on March 30, 2011.  He worked as a broadcaster in radio and television.

Mike was a member the Rochelle Moose Lodge and of the Faith Lutheran Church in Rochelle.  He did a lot of public speaking in the many different organizations that he was part of.  Mike earned the Silver Beaver Award and was a Vigil Member of the Order of the Arrow in Scouting.  He wore many hats in the scouting organization, while also being the Samoset Council Health Officer for over 16 years.

Survived by his two sons: Scott Wilson of DeKalb, and Joe Wilson of Rochelle, and 3 Grandchildren, 4 Step Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren..

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, March 15, 2025 at Faith Lutheran Church, with Pastor Joy Alsop officiating.  Cremation rites have been accorded by Unger Horner Funeral Home, 400 N 6th St., Rochelle.  Guest book at UngerHorner.com
