Carlos "Mickey" Russell, 66, of Rochelle, passed away on Monday, Sept. 19, 2011 at
Rockford Healthcare in Rockford, IL. He was born on Dec. 1, 1944 in Wynne, AR to
James E. and Jewel (Cagle) Russell. Mickey married Gladys Ophelia Lampley on Aug. 15, 1969
in Rochelle. Mickey enjoyed camping, fishing, playing cards, singing, playing his guitar, working on anything mechanical, and he always made it a point to visit and care for his family. He had previously been a plant manager for Owen Corning. Preceded in death by his grandson: "T.J." Timothy James Anders.

Survivors include his wife: Gladys of Rochelle; parents: James and Jewel Russell of Rochelle;
children: Kathy (Danny) Roberson, Dixon, MO, Karla Pratt, St. James, MO, David (Diane) Russell, Rochelle, Dennis Russell, Rochelle, Andy Earl Anders, of Rochelle, Ed Anders, Rochelle, Angie (Ron) Dicus, Rochelle, Mike Anders, Rochelle; 14 Grandchildren: Josie, Nicholas and Jamie Michelle Pratt, Danielle Robinson, Shanna Fowler, Megan and Kelsy
Russell, Jason and Justin Anders, Steven, Briana and Jonathan Dicus, Tarryn and Amber Anders; 9 great grandchildren; 2 brothers: William E. (Karen) Russell of Ashton, IL and Danny L. (Lisa) Russell of Rochelle; sister: Bonnie (Jinx) Hord of Springfield, MO.

Services will be held at Unger-Horner Funeral Home, Rochelle, IL on Saturday, Sept. 24, 2011
at 2:30 PM. Visitation at Unger-Horner from 1:30 to 2:30 prior to the
service on Saturday. Burial at Lawnridge Cemetery at 9 AM on Monday, September 26, 2011. Memorial has been established.
