Mildred Pauline Eckhardt, age 94, of Rochelle died on March 31, 2007 at the Rochelle Gardens Care Center. She was born on August 29, 1912 in Auburn, Illinois, the daughter of Jesse Roscoe and Allie Mae Patterson Braddy. Mildred married Harold H. Eckhardt on June 28, 1930 in Oregon, Illinois, he preceded her in death after 65 years of marriage on August 23, 1995. She worked as an interior decorator and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Rochelle. Preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters: Melvia Davis and Doris Janes, daughter: Barbara Titzel, 2 sons: Steve and Donald Eckhardt and four great great grandchildren.
Survivors include two daughters:Peggy (Gene) Zies of Batavia, Neva (Bob) Tyler of Mesa, AZ. 3 Sisters: Opal Wood of Richview, IL, Kalah Martin of Benton, IL, Kathleen (Sonny) Donoho of Atlanta, GA.
14 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews
Funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, April 4, 2007 at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Doug Cowan officitating.
Visitation will be on Wednesday from 10 - 11:00 AM prior to the funeral at the Church.
A Memorial to the First Baptist Church
Burial will be at the Trinity Memory Gardens
