Mindy Irene Foster, age 27, of one of God's beautiful angels was called home Sunday, Aug. 27, 2006 at Rochelle Community Hospital. She was born on May 7, 1979 in Rochelle, the daughter of Raymond E. and Patty A. (Ervin) Foster. Mindy was a 1997 graduate of Rochelle Township High School and she held many various office positions until she was diagnosed with Multiple
Sclerosis at age 21.
Mindy made her home in Rochelle, where she resided with her mother, older sister Debra and her stepfather. She didn't let her illness get her down and she tried to live her life to the fullest she was able. Her mother, Patty was her best friend and kept her busy with various activities, such as riding their tricycles together, selling Avon, spending time with their dog Cosmo, shopping, playing cards and watching her favorite television programs. Mindy has touched many lives with her love and laughter. She is truly one of God's angels sent here to show us what greatness is. She was loved by many and will be missed by all.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother: Marilyn Lynch and maternal grandmother: Olive Bell Ervin.
Survivors include her father: Ray (Judy Lynn) Foster of Rochelle and her mother: Patty
(Daniel) Barker of Rochelle; and 2 Sisters: Debra and Sherry Foster, both of Rochelle.
Funeral services will be held at Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N 6th St., Rochelle on Thursday, Aug. 31, 2006 at l:00 PM with Pastor Chad Hall officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 5 to 8 PM. Burial will be at Trinity Memory Gardens.
