Myrtle A. Bearrows, 94, of Lindenwood, IL, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2012,
at Rochelle Community Hospital. She was born on June 27, 1918 in Lindenwood, IL to
Christopher W. and Helen B. (Wendorf) Jaeger. Myrtle married Jean Quentin Bearrows
on Sept. 20, 1941. They were married 71 years and had four wonderful children. She was a devoted wife, mom and grandma. She was also an owner of Bearrows Grocery and a clerk for the Lindenwood post office.
Myrtle enjoyed gardening, flowers, going to their cabin up north and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; Sisters: Lucille Saathoff and her twin sister: Mable Woodrick. Memberships include livelong member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Lindenwood.
Survivors include her wonderful husband Jean of Lindenwood, IL; sons: Bertran (Doris) Bearrows of Eau Claire, WI and Dennis (Lorraine) Bearrows of Chana, IL; daughters: Lynn (Rick) Olson of Sandwich, IL and Beth (Joe) Rangel of Stillman Valley, IL and; brother: Raymond (Lois) Jaeger of Lindenwood, IL; sister: Evelyn Fell of Rochelle, IL; 16 grandchildren: Paul Bearrows, Todd (Fatima) Bearrows, Cheryl (Dale) Dixon, Christina (Josh) Swartz, Stacey Lawson, Coralee (Michael) McGee, Regina (Ron) Nicholls, Elizabeth (Ken) Miller, Amanda (Dave) Anderson, Emily (Jeremiah) Wiencek, Michael (Lisa Dewey) Olson, Irma (Oscar) Castillo, Anthony (Carmen) Rangel and Alicia Rangel. and 28 great grandchildren.
Services will be on Monday, Dec. 17. 2012 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Lindenwood, IL with Rev. David Yarrington at 10:30 AM. Visitation on Sunday, Dec. 16th, from 2 to 5 PM at Unger-Horner Funeral Home in Rochelle. Burial at Lindenwood Cemetery. Memorials to
Immanuel Lutheran Church.
