Myrtle I."Honey" Johnson, 96 of Rochelle, passed away on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at
Rochelle Community Hospital. She was born on October 8, 1915 in Macintosh, SD
to Sigfried Cornelius and Anna Louisa (Hendrickson) Helgeson.

She retired from Caron International and worked at several Rochelle restaurants. She
enjoyed bowling league with her daughter and granddaughters and was a long-time
member of the local Kitchen Band with her cherished friends. She was a lifetime member
of the Women of the Moose and earned her College of Regents Degree.

She is survived by sons: Eugene (Pam) Osborne and Richard Johnson of Rochelle; sister Marie Washington; 6 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren and a special
niece: Phyllis of Oregon, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter: Fern Coats; sons: Thomas McGill and Robert Johnson; granddaughter: Donna Kinser Sidebottom and great grandson: Eric Sanderson.

Services will be held Friday, May 25, 2012 at Unger-Horner Funeral Home in Rochelle at 2:00 PM . Visitation will be from noon until 2:00 PM prior to the service. Burial at Lawnridge Cemetery in Rochelle. Memorials can be made to Mooseheart through the Local Moose Lodge #903 or the Hub City Senior Center.
