Nancy Mary Feldhaus-Johnson, 62, of Rochelle, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, July 8, 2026, in Rochelle, Illinois. Nancy was born March 25, 1964, in Perry, Iowa, the daughter of John and Mary (Parrino) Feldhaus. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents.
Nancy was the kind of person this world needs more of. Gentle, selfless, and endlessly caring. For more than 25 years, Nancy dedicated herself to her career at Nestlé. She was known for her strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment, earning the respect of those who worked alongside her. Outside of work, Nancy found joy in gardening, where she enjoyed caring for her flowers and spending time outdoors. Nancy’s greatest joy, however, was serving others. While many things brought her happiness, nothing filled her heart quite like cooking for and mentoring the young men and women involved in Boy Scouts and the National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT) through the Blackhawk Area Council. Whether she was preparing meals after a long day, offering words of encouragement, or simply being a steady and caring presence, Nancy had a remarkable way of making every person feel valued and supported. Her faith in God was a steady source of strength throughout her life. It shaped the kindness she showed others, the grace with which she lived, and the love she shared so freely with others. More than anything, Nancy loved her family. She was one others turned to for comfort, wisdom, and unconditional love. She celebrated every milestone, offered encouragement during life’s hardest moments, and made each person in her life feel deeply valued. The love she gave so effortlessly will continue to live on in those fortunate enough to have called her Mom, Nana, sister, aunt, or friend. Nancy leaves behind a legacy of compassion, generosity, quiet strength, and unconditional love. While her absence leaves an immeasurable void, the countless memories she created and the lives she touched will forever be a testament to the extraordinary woman she was. She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever carried in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her two sons, Brett (Samantha) Johnson of Gig Harbor, Washington, and Cody (Rebecca Miller) Johnson of Rochelle, Illinois; one grandson, Corbin Johnson; and seven siblings, Marty (Karen) Feldhaus of Davis Junction, Illinois, Barb (Russ) Eychaner of Esmond, Illinois, Eric (Tapan) Feldhaus of California, Michael (Jane) Feldhaus of New Hampshire, Tony (Meg) Feldhaus of Geneva, Illinois, Lisa (Jim) Basso of Minnesota, and Ann (Mike) Green of Rochelle, Illinois.
A memorial visitation will be held from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 17, 2026, at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Rochelle, Illinois. A Memorial Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the church with private burial to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family but will be given to a scholarship memorial fund for NYLT for Boy Scouts. Visit www.ungerhorner.com for online guestbook.
