Nancy Kay Tourigny, 57, passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2013 in Rochelle. She was born September 15, 1955 in Evansville, IL to Arthur and Dorothy (Bonke) Tourigny. Nancy worked as a clerk for Caron International for 23 years. She was a member of the Rochelle United Methodist Church and also a 37 year member the Women of the Moose Club in Rochelle. Nancy joined the Women of the Moose Club in October of 1976, she received her Academy of Friendship Degree in May of 1980; her College of Regents Degree in June of 1981; and her Star Recorder Degree in May of 1990. She was preceded in death by her father and most recently, March 15, 2013, her mother.
Nancy is survived by two sisters: Linda (Everett) Willstead of Rockford and Jo Beth (Richard) Lytle of Ramona, CA; four nieces: Angela Goad, Denise Holt, Heather Feary and Jessica Brown; three nephews: Dennis Willstead, Richard Lytle and Andrew Lytle and 10 great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M., Monday, July 29, 2013 at the United Methodist Church in Rochelle with Pastor Cindy Marino officiating. The visitation will be from 10:00 to 10:45 A.M. prior to the funeral at the church. Burial is at Lawnridge Cemetery in Rochelle. Memorials may be made to the Rochelle United Methodist Church.
