Nathan J. Martinez, age 32, of Byron, Il, went before us to be with the Lord on Saturday, Dec. 9, 2006 at Swedish American Hospital in Rockford, IL. He was born on April 21, 1974 in Sycamore, IL, the son of Randy James Greene and Shirley Martinez. Nathan married K. Nicole Perkins on Aug. 24, 2004 in Oregon, IL. He operated Nate's Tree and Stump Removal.

He was a member of the First General Baptist Church in Rochelle. Nathan was preceded in death by his father: Randy Greene; paternal grandfather: Stokley Greene; maternal grandfather: Jesus Martinez; father-in-law: Les Perkins and uncle: Phillip Martinez.

Survivors include his wife Nicole of Byron; mother: Shirley Martinez of Rochelle; son: Tristan
and a son: Troy due on Jan. 10, 2007; 3 brothers: Jarem and John Sandusky both of Dixon, IL and James Allan Abbott of Dixon; 3 sisters: Christine Sandusky of Carbondale, IL; Julene Sandusky of Dixon, IL and Brittany Abbott of Rochelle, IL as well as many special nieces
and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, Dec. 14,2006 at the First General Baptist Church, 500 S. 12th St. in Rochelle, at 11:00 AM, with Rev. Angelo Bonacquisti officiating. Visitation will be held at First General Baptist Church on Wed. Dec. 13th, from 4 to 8 PM. Burial will be at
Trinity Memory Gardens in Rochelle. In Lieu of flowers: memorials can be made to the family
in care of the Nathan Martinez Memorial Fund at Lincoln State Bank.
