Nathaniel M. Harris, 53, of Rochelle, Illinois, passed away on July 14, 2026, at Kishwaukee Hospital in DeKalb, Illinois, following complications of a long-term illness.

Nathaniel was born on October 28, 1972, the son of Reed and Lorraine (Meling) Harris. He married Angie Medernach on April 23, 2005, in Sycamore, Illinois.

Nathaniel was preceded in death by his mother, Laurie Harris; his grandparents, Mahlon and Rita Meling, Lois Turkington, and Robert Harris; and his aunt, Jean Porter.

He is survived by his wife, Angie Harris of Rochelle; two sons, Jesse Harris of Rochelle and Corbin Harris of Goodfield, Illinois; his father, Reed Harris of Rochelle; his sister, Lisa (Gale) Coleman of Rochelle; his niece and nephew, Renae Coleman and Clayton Coleman; his in-laws, Dave and June Medernach of Rochelle; his aunt, Cori Baer of Rochelle; his uncle, Bob Porter of Sterling, Illinois; his Pomeranian puff balls, Shelby and Diesel; and numerous extended family members and friends.

A celebration of Nathaniel’s life will be held at a later date by the family.

Cremation care has been accorded by Unger-Horner Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Rochelle.
