Orlo Elmer Oleson, 84, of Rochelle, passed away Nov. 6th 2010 in Rochelle Rehab and Health Care Center Rochelle IL. Orlo was born Aug. 21, 1926 in Rochelle, IL the son of Elmer and Celia (Jordal) Oleson. He married Margaret Irving June 8, 1951 in Lee, IL.

Memberships include St. Paul Lutheran Church of Rochelle, life member Rochelle V.F.W. Post 3878 and American Legion. He served in the U.S. Navy SeeBees during WW. II Orlo worked at Del Monte for 37 years retiring in 1988. He was a lifelong Cubs fan.
Preceded by two brothers Irvin, Amos and sister in-law Joyce Oleson. Also a brother in-law Elmer Irving.

Survivors include Wife: Margaret of Rochelle, Son: Douglas of Rochelle, and Daughter: Debra Oleson of Rockford IL. Brother: Raymond Oleson of Mt. Morris IL, and 2 sister-in-laws: Doris Oleson of Dixon, IL and Joann Irving of DeKalb IL. Also numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, Nov. 11 at 11:00 AM at St.Pauls Lutheran Church in Rochelle. Visitation on Wednesday, Nov. 10th, from 4-7 PM at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th Street in Rochelle and also from 10:00 a.m. to service time at church the day of the funeral. Military rights will be provided by VFW Post 3878 of Rochelle. Family has requested memorials to St. Paul Lutheran Church or Ogle County Hospice.
