OTTO A. GENSLER, of Rochelle died on Tuesday, September 22, 2009 on his 96th birthday at his home. He was born on September 22, 1913 in Woodford County, IL the son of Casper and Mary Rossman Gensler. He married Mary Waldschmidt on January 29, 1938, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Metamora, IL, she preceded him on January 28, 1966; Otto then married Dorothy M. Herrmann on May 25, 1968 in St Patrick Catholic Church in Rochelle, IL, she preceded him on December 26, 2008. Otto was a life long farmer. Member of the St. Patrick Catholic Church and a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus.
Preceded by his parents, son: Father Casper Gensler, OFM, grandson: Kevin Gensler, 3 brothers: Tony, Marty, and Joe; and sister: Marie Gries.

22 Grandchildren: Dave, Mike, Anne, Steve, Peg, Jim, Andy, Teri, Heidi, Lisa, Scott, Kristen, Mark, Lyndsay, J.P., Dan, Amanda, Lynn, Ben, Allison, Rachael, and Adam.

Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, September 26, 2009 at St Patrick Catholic Church with Fr. Neri Greskoviak, O.F.M. officiating. Visitation will be on Friday from 4 - 7 PM at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th Street Rochelle, and also on Saturday from 9 - 10:00 AM at the church prior to funeral.

In Lieu of flowers a Memorial has been established to John the Baptist Providence of Cincinnati, OH; Sisters of St. Francis of Clinton, IA; or the Charity of your choice.
Burial will be at St Patrick cemetery in Rochelle.
