Obituary
Pascual Salazar, 90, of Rochelle, IL, passed away on Saturday, October 1, 2011 at the Serenity Home surrounded by his family.
He was born on May 17, 1921 in Allende Nuevo Leon, Mexico to Juan Paulo and Juanita (Balderas) Salazar. Pascual married Hortensia Inocencio on Dec. 1, 1951 in Lytle Texas. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and hobbies were remodeling, painting and lottery tickets. He had previously been employed in construction. He is preceded in death by his son: Eddie Salazar
Survivors include his wife: Hortensia I. Salazar of Rochelle; sons Pascual Salazar Jr. of Lytle, TX, and Rolando "Sal" (Christine) Salazar of Rochelle; daughters: Bonnie Salazar and Maggie (Dennis) Barringer, both of Rochelle. Grandchildren: Kimberly (Vinnie) Cicala, Skyler Barringer, Tiffany Salazar, and Keyana Salazar.
Funeral mass will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at the St. Patrick Catholic Church.
Visitation at Unger-Horner Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4 - 7 PM
Cremation will follow the funeral mass with his cremated remains being buried at the Steward Cemetery in Steward, IL. Memorials to the family.
