Rochelle

Pascual "Pas" Salazar, Jr., age 61, passed away on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at the Serenity Hospice and Home in Oregon with his family at his side. He was born on July 30, 1954 in San Antonio, TX, the son of Pascual and Hortensia (Inocencio) Salazar. Pas worked in maintenance for many years prior to retiring. Member of the local 150 union. He was preceded in death by his father, Pascual, Sr. and his brother, Eddie.

Survived by his mother, Hortensia Salazar of Rochelle; brother, Rolando "Sal" (Laura McLane) Salazar of Rochelle; two sisters: Bonnie Salazar of Rochelle, and Maggie (Dennis) Barringer of Rochelle; three nieces: Kimberly (Vinnie) Cicala, and Tiffany Salazar and Keyana Salazar, and their mother, Christy Salazar; nephew, Skyler (Jade) Barringer; and great nephew, Keilon Salazar.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N 6th St., Rochelle with Pastor Doug Cowan officiating. Visitation will be on Monday from 5 - 8 pm at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home. Cremation will follow services with the burial of his cremated body at Steward Cemetery.
