Patricia "Patty" Ann Cagle, 72, passed away on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at the Franklin Grove Living and Rehabilitation Center in Franklin Grove, Illinois. Patty was born on July 21, 1949 to Harry and Betty (Michmershuizen) Kuemmel in Rochelle, IL. On April 28, 1986, she married Johnny Clay Cagle in Oregon, IL. He preceded her in death on September 15, 2001 along with her grandson, Dustin Merriman.

Patty loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Friends and family were always welcomed with open arms and met with much laughter, many jokes and teasing. Her kids were grateful for her willingness to always help them out when in need. She had a special place in her heart for dogs and other pets.

Patty is survived by her children: Larry (Becky) Chisem of Wynn, AR, Melanie (Adam) Asbury of Franklin Grove, IL, Theresa Cagle of Rochelle, IL, Debra Jerkes of Point Blank, TX, Catherine Chisem of Arkansas and Stephanie (Danny) Evans of Hardy, AR; brother, Douglas (Cheryl) Kuemmel of Rochelle, IL; two sisters: Diana Quest of DeKalb, IL and Carolyn Kuemmel of Davenport, IA; grandchildren: Karlee, Marissa and Dakotah Asbury, Mackenzie Cagle, Keith Chisem and Karen Wilson and great grandchildren: Janiyah Williams, Addison and Kyndal Chisem, Christopher Melton, John Wilson and her dog, Macey.

The visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M., Thursday, August 26, 2021 at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th St., Rochelle. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, August 27, at the funeral home with Chaplain Judy Williams officiating. Burial will follow the service at Lawnridge Cemetery in Rochelle.
